stop smoking Essex

It is said that we are a nation of animal lovers, and probably that is true.   But where does our love for our animals begin and end, and are you willing to stop smoking for the sake of their health?

In 2010 an estimated 3800 human deaths per year in the UK alone could be put down to passive smoking.   How many cats, dogs, birds and other loved pets suffered and died through passive smoking?

80% of tobacco smoke is invisible.  These invisible clouds contain around 7000 toxic chemicals, all of which will be breathed in by your ever loving dog or cat, by your budgie or house rabbit.
But it’s worse for them.  Most of the time they have no choice about whether to leave the room where you are smoking.  In fact, even if you smoke in one room because 80% of tobacco smoke is invisible you have absolutely no idea how far it is spreading.

Just think about the tiny lungs and eyes of your cat or bird being subjected to that hour after hour, day after day!  Birds in particular have very sensitive respiratory systems and will be distressed by your smoking and that of your guests. Smoke can even settle on the water of your fish tank allowing toxic chemicals to dissolve into their water, turning their home into a toxic bath!

Cats tend to suffer more than dogs, because they groom more.  Your tobacco smoke doesn’t just settle in your hair and on your clothes, but on their fur and feathers too.

Passive smoking pets are at risk of developing asthma, cancers of the nose, mouth and lungs, as well as lymphoma.

It isn’t just you who is “dying for a fag”.
